After the internet fails worldwide
Yesterday, many people had to figure out how to survive after the internet failed worldwide. After the internet went down, people hoped it would be restored the same day. However, this did not happen, and people were left stranded for many hours. It is now after 24 hours, and the internet has not come back. Since yesterday, businesses have been affected and have lost millions of dollars in revenue (Alterman 36). Most businesses rely on the internet for their survival. Both personal businesses and big corporations rely heavily on the internet. Some of the hardest businesses include online shops which market their products and services on the internet. Also, other significant businesses such as financial institutions have not served their customers effectively since yesterday. Invoicing is one of the most affected where the companies and individuals cannot communicate to their customers the money owed for products and services.
When the internet failed, people panicked because they did not know at what time it would come back. Also, there was little hope of restoring normalcy in running the personal and company businesses. People knew they would encounter huge losses regarding revenues. Nowadays, people are highly dependent on the internet, and they cannot think of a time when there was none (Alterman 23). This dependency has been brought by modern civilization where everything revolves around the internet and modern communication.

Before the invention of the internet, people used to survive. However, this is not possible today because of the heavy reliance. During the dark days when there was no internet, the world relied on archaic media for information. Modern technology has resulted in the change where people communicate through reliable forums like the social media. The mainstream media has taken a back seat regarding the provision of information.
Reflection Response: Procrastination
Hello everyone. My name is Gregory Peet, and I am a procrastinator which I have faced for a long time. I never take the proper time and step in a process. In many cases, I face tight deadlines when completing many tasks (Urban). Though I know most of the things addressed in the video, it has reaffirmed my position regarding the knowledge I have on procrastination. Most problems in life are due to demonstrating behaviors of long-term procrastination. I have learned that procrastination not good because it might lead to suffering in my life.
I consider truth to be my convenience in life regarding success. I often use the excuse to work late on home assignments so that I can help my wife and our two young sons. My brother Sunday visits every Sunday. It serves as an excuse not to spend the day’s family time with the kids while enjoying an excellent football game. The visit by my brother serves as an excuse for not to accomplish my tasks and meet deadlines. It is not all lost regarding my procrastination, and I can redefine my career and stay on track (Urban). I consider it to be work in progress which will be fulfilled in the near future. One thing I consider fruitful is changing to do better in my class through following my daily planner. I plan to spend all the allocated time reading and studying to further my career. Also, I plan to ensure I have extra time to better my education and career. Equally significant, I will strive to complete my readings on time and take more detailed notes.
