Thesis
Nursing rounds have a positive impact on patients and increase their level of satisfaction. Patients’ safety is high when nurses are able to do rounds. This is because they can identify any potential problem and address it promptly. The reasons for patients’ call light use and the frequency of use plus the impact of nurse rounds on how the patients’ use call lights are to be assessed.
Content
Nursing rounds should be more frequent (every one hour) as this will increase their level of effectiveness;
It would be better to have two-hour rounds than to have none;
More rounds reduce the usage of call light and at the same time increases the level of patients’ safety and satisfaction.
Relevance
Evidence-based analysis on the reasons as to why frequent nurse rounds should be embraced as opposed to no rounds or less frequent rounds.
