The “others” are reflected as a group of “students.” The students are from different racial and cultural backgrounds. Each of the students seems engrossed in an activity as Miss Colombia is attending to the two newcomers. The “others” are reflected as both chaotic and non-caring. The chaos can be seen as one of the “others” is depicted punching an Asian looking individual who is already lying on the ground. None of the “others” seems to care about the happenings in their surroundings. They are also dressed according to their nationality’s culture (Miss Colombia’s School House N.p).
Aguinaldo’s critic echoes the political cartoon as it displays the American flag amidst the chaos. According to the criticism, it is evident that the American policies only flourished in turmoil or had been designed to cause havoc. The carton defines the chaotic environment that occurs right in the watch of America. In Aguinaldo’s text, he accuses the Americans of failing to send “proper” assistance to the Philippine struggle. He continues to allude that the Americans send “rabble volunteers” who later die due to the harsh weather. Such claims echo the incorporation of a man carrying a bomb in the picture. If the explosive should go off, the man will kill himself and any other people in the vicinity (“Aguinaldo’s Case against the United States,” North American Review” N.p).
The two documents show that the perception of America to other people is more repelling than compelling.

The “conquered people” are treated in a chaotic manner that ensures that they are not fit for the liberties that came along with the citizenship. Thus, the likelihood is reduced at each attempt for one to become a citizen. Even so, the incorporation of the American culture is still faced with numerous difficulties.
