The Necklace, spectacularly, written by one Guy de Maussapant details the story of a very young girl born into moderation and boasting nothing close to the royal demeanor. She leads an average life carrying no exaggerated expectations, no specific desires in life and no goals of a spectacular wedding. Even her dressing was average, at best, in a showcase of a shallow material background. She did not cherish her situation indicating that she was either in a comfortable place or wished to be in a better place (Maupassant). However, the text soon clears a reader’s doubts and presents that women her age was used to an inferior position. This sad situation happened at the childhood level when the female kids were accustomed to second-class social adaptations. In the end, the negativity in female profiling starts at an early age when female children are in their initial development stages.
The unknown Girl is a poetry presentation detailing the particulars of a girl who was not known to the public. This specific girl finds herself in between of separate cultures that threaten to tear her identity apart. The poem writer takes her time in narrating the pathway of the girl right from her times in the Republic of India. Alvi, the writer, and persona of the poem gave accounts of how confusion was her portion when she attempted to intersect her Pakistan and British origins (Maupassant). In essence, she is talking to millions of beneficiaries brought about by globalization.

However, she says that cultural integration threatens to tear indigenous cultural fabrics apart. The exit strategy from a sleepy Pakistan town to a sparkling London city presents the difference that arises from various life situations. One can turn from best to worse, and the vice versa holds equally true.
There are a lot of similarities in these two poems. The most visible equating factor is the use of women to advance their plight and the societal standing in all manners women. More visibly, the two poems intersect in showing how stereotypes affect the status of women in the society. For example, in text presentation one, the girl is presented as an average human being, one who is at best, mediocre. This incorrect display mirrors the reality of cultural systems that have long held women as second-class citizens. Indeed, when women excel, male counterparts marvel as if the excellence came from extinct organisms. In the Necklace, the girl child in question imagines herself flies with the Eagles. Perhaps, it is the only route to imagining excellence and space in a dominating male world. That the girl can imagine excellence implies that she and her peers are used to second class positions. Anything above the average raises the excitement to uncontrollable levels.
This proposition is highly shared by the poem. The Unknown Girl was written and scripted by Moniza Alvi. The main character in the form of a girl is yet to ascertain her true identity. She is yet to precisely define her role in life as well as designing the specific trajectory of life. Her solution is immersing her thoughts into deep meditation exercises as a bit of living up to her hypothetical dreams. Reaching the moon or even the clouds is a pipe dream that can only happen inside the nuerotical section of the head. It is a transition from Pakistan to Britain. She is however confused on the most appropriate state and cannot acquire a perfect sense of belonging. Her heart desires the bliss in Britain cities while her life is stuck in the trenches of Pakistan. It is a paradox of life that she, least of all, does not remotely comprehend. Confusion is all over, and no one seems interested in assisting in that direction.
The tow texts indicate the reality facing women and female folk in the society. Men started off from a path of domination, especially from the resource angle. Many can recall that during the Industrialization Period in the US, male people would keep wives and mistresses as trophies making sure that they supplied sufficient money to keep the females busy with shopping lists and mowing responsibilities.
Additionally, women were supposed to seek for lesser demanding jobs such as clerks and secretaries. It is in this captive situation that many female people sought to create new lifestyles through imaginations. As the text and the poem displays, women can only wish and dream about reaching the glass ceiling. The opportunity context is still hostile, and a lot is required before women can live what they imagine.
The desires of girls remain unknown as The Necklace remains in its place of average position and non-prominent oscillation. The final intersecting reality about the two literature pieces is presenting girls as aggressive people, dreamers and people not afraid to imagine the future. This iota of positivity shines glory on poems that had the potential of reigning groom. Any lady reading either of the pieces should embrace the hope pathway presented and battle with the practical challenges that face the girl child.
An unknown girl describes how Moniza tried to trace her place in a new country where she faces culture shock. The poem uses many stylistic devices to elaborate the theme clearly to the audience. The fading noise describes how time passes as Alvi tries to get over the feeling that she is far away from her native home since she was residing in a new country where she decided to settle. The society which she lived in had no limits to intermarriages between individuals who belong to different cultural backgrounds.
Alvi becomes stranded since she cannot trace her origin. Moreover, having been assimilated into a different culture, the country where she previously belonged can no longer accept her. The Necklace Guy de Maupassant describes the story of a lady who was brought up in a low, middle class family. She marries an industrious clerk who spends all his savings to lure her attention. She insists that her husband should go by her clothes to wear at a party despite his financial constraint. However, she also requires a diamond necklace to compliment her expensive dress. Jewelry is very expensive. Therefore, her friend lends her one. Unfortunately, she lost it on her way out of the party. As such, the couple sells all their property to pay for the diamond necklace which becomes their liability. Later, on she discovered they paid for a fake necklace which was not worth that amount.
The above texts are preferred since they have numerous stylistic devices such as similarities which explain the theme in an easier way which the audience can easily comprehend. Moreover, the themes are almost similar although narrated from different perspectives. The poems serve a purpose of creating awareness they lure attraction from many individuals.
