Bethany Hamilton was born on a day where there was a double rainbow, on February 8, 1990 in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii. Luckily for her, she was born in a family of surfers, with her mother Cheri, her dad Tom, and her two brothers, Noah and Tim. Bethany began his surfing when he was only 8 years old. In May 2003, his age group and the open divisions of a local surf competition earned. Soon after, she finished second in an open division of women, in the national champions in San Clammente, California.

Sadly, on the morning of October 31, 2003 she went to surf with her best friend Alana, along with her father and her brother. He was surfing in Tunnels Beach, Kauai when a 14 -foot long tiger shark attacked Bethany Hamilton biting his left arm. She noticed that the ocean got red before seeing that she had lost an arm and immediately noticed that she needs to swim towards Alana before losing so much blood. When he arrived there, Alana immediately called her dad who arrived in an instant, removing her surfing shirt to stop the blood coming out.

Luckily when the ambulance arrived at the shore, I was already ready to take her to the hospital. Thank you a week later, and I was surfing within 1 month.

Bethany Hamilton was a great inspiration to many people in our world for many reasons. For first, he never renounced his dreams of being a professional surfer. During her training time when she was recovering, she traveled to many places as a motivating speaker. During that time they encouraged people to conquer difficulties and follow their own dreams and that helped Bethany to never lose faith in God and value. Bethany said he used all his strength to fight for his life, get up again and try again despite the fact that the probabilities were in his account. She taught that she had courage and strength to pass the obstacles of life and all things makes her a real hero.

Bethany has won many awards have already achieved many incredible things. In 2004, he won the Espy award for the best return ath. Later in 2005 he won the Mildred Babe Dirdikson-Zacharias Courage Award, of the Sports Academy in the United States. At age 19, the World Youth World Championships ended in him second, and when he was 24, he first received in surfing n Pipeline Pro. But in 2016 she declined nomination for the best woman athlete with disabilities because she likes the word adapted instead of disabilities. Bethany beat a world record of 6 times and the best surfer in the world in a great WSL competition. All these awards led her to be in the Hall of Fame of Surfers.

She has impacted the lives of many children, and even adults in so many ways. Although she was attacked by a shark, she never lost her passion and became the most famous surfer in the world.
