Biography
Prior to joining Greenstone Equity Partners in January 2018, Faisal was at Samba Financial Group where he worked from 2014 to December 2017. From 2015 to 2017, he worked at the position of a relationship manager and credit risk officer where he was concerned with the managing a multi-billion dollar portfolio and providing strategic investment advice to high-net-worth clients. In spite of being the youngest relationship manager just out of school, he had the largest portfolio that he helped grow from its 2015 value of SAR 1 billion to a 2017 value of SAR 2.5 billion. This was a whopping growth of 150 % from the initial value of the portfolio. In 2015, he worked in the position of a private banker where he was concerned with the duties of the market and financial research. In 2014, he was under the Samba Executive Program where he was trained on both the theoretical and practical aspects of banking and finance. Having achieved more than 80 percent in all of the examinations, he became one of the 10 participants from the initial 45 participants to graduate out of the program.
Faisal possesses relevant and coordinated training in economics and financial analysis. Foundationally, he possesses a Professional Development Certification from the Samba Executive Samba program, which he attained in 2014, and comprises training in specific areas of wealth management, operational risk management, anti-money laundering, credit management, and information security awareness.

During the intense 10-month program, Faisal ended up acquiring essential skills and proficiency in economic research, data modeling, and financial analysis. In 2013, Faisal acquired a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Management from the University of Sussex. Training in Economics has grounded Faisal in understanding critical economic and financial theories, as well as the interconnectedness between the financial sector and the general economy. Besides, in 2009, Faisal completed a course and acquired an International Foundation Certificate from the City University of London.
Faisal is a multilingual speaker who is fluent and proficient in Arabic, English, and even foundational French. Faisal describes himself as a global citizen who is interested in how the financial system functions both at the local and the global level. He is a creative problem-solver, mixes both intuition and intensive attention to data in creating critical solutions for agencies and investors. His work had been noted by his previous manager as being risk-analyzed and client-oriented. He is a self-learner who reads widely and is informed about current financial products, and how such products will influence the future of the financial market and industry. He is currently improving his economic and financial research skills. He believes that the future industry will require the best learners and integration of academic and practical skills toward both long-term growth and sustainability. He also looks forward to challenges and opportunities for growth.
