Managers who have friends in the workplace seem to be more successful than opposite ones. A good relationship with workmates, bosses, service providers and clients makes someone more engaged and happy at their workplace. A good relationship is necessary for the development of management careers that requires well-followed guidelines.
The first phase of developing a good relationship involves the selling of individual profile. The initial process involves letting others know about the individual personality of the manager. People get attracted to personalities that relate with others easily. Secondly, it is vital for someone to speak positively about his or her colleagues at work. People get attracted to the ones who offer positive comments about their colleagues. In particular, motivate others to be involved with the particular project and make them enjoy doing the activity at the workplace (Pronk & Kottke, 2009). Through the sale of individual characteristic, a person can achieve a good relationship with his or her colleagues.
The second phase of developing a good relationship at work involves having a team attitude. Working as a team also keep workers engaged in an office activity. Working as a team gives workers, managers, and employer’s confidence that they are working as a team, which assist in meeting goals in the shortest time possible.
