Leadership
Candidate A and B showcase a disposition to indulgence. They use alcoholic drinks and cigarettes on a daily basis. The first candidate has two mistresses while the second one had a history of using opium. Additionally, the two possess behaviors that many consider unproductive such as sleeping till noon and consulting astrologists. Therefore, the first two candidates portrayed characteristics that do not resemble those of leaders.
However, the third candidate shows high levels of restraint. The individual shows minimal signs of indulgence as he or she only partakes in a few beers and lacks mistresses. As a decorated soldier, the candidate indicates signs of a person that sacrifices for others. Therefore, the qualities of the third option seemed to embody the image of a leader.
At first glance, I associated the characteristics of restraint to leadership. Usually, leaders should act in the best interests of their subjects. Individuals with high susceptibility to indulgence typically engage in drinking, smoking, drugs and other forms of fun to the extent that they forget to serve their followers. Many leaders in the history of civilization have stepped from power because of disease that made them unable to attend to the needs of the subjects (Behr, 2016). Thus, I associated the characteristics of vegetarianism and the abstinence to drugs to leadership.Personally, I prefer the charismatic type of leadership over the others. The strategy involves people using their presence and charm to encourage the followers to follow their directions.

The charismatic model of leadership incorporates the democratic aspect of governance (Northouse, 2018). The leaders use little formal authority to push the subjects, and that means that the followers usually conduct their duties to their best.
