In the decision-making sequence, this is brand loyalty since the consumer feels comfortable visiting the same physician. Brand loyalty is achieved through a combination of high involvement and high decision making (Berkowitz, 2016).
The retired individual seeks a second opinion regarding their open-heart surgery. The consumer is conducting an external search to aid in decision making (Berkowitz, 2016). This is involved in complex decision making and is done when the internal search fails to provide enough information.
The consumer searches WebMD for information and visits their local pharmacy. This can be described as an internal search since the individual does not seek any additional information. This is involved in situations where the consumer is engaged in limited decision making.

In the issue, under consideration, Mary has visited the Express Clinic but later wants to seek a second opinion. The clinic provides a publication showing that 97% of mothers are satisfied offered by the clinic. The clinic hopes to influence consumer decision by focusing on the issue of attitude (Berkowitz, 2016). The publication is meant to sway the consumer evaluations towards the positive. This will help restore Mary’s confidence in the organization and might not seek a second opinion.
