Subject: Political Analysis and Legislative Strategy
Political Analysis
The U.S has achieved success in addressing the welfare of programs. It has implemented various programs that are intended to improve their quality of life. It is also because of this reason that the federal government has established various health programs to meet the medical needs of all veterans. However, it is not in doubt that veterans continue to encounter numerous challenges (Damron-Rodriguez et al. 249). In particular, it has become increasingly difficult for veterans to access essential medical services easily. The scheduling conflict highlights the need to address the underlying factors. It may be important to consider the various political measures that can be undertaken to bolster the provision of quality healthcare services in an efficient and timely manner.
The nation’s political leadership will be obligated to implement appropriate policies that can help to safeguard the interests of veterans. It must be important to ensure that all veterans are treated with respect and decorum. Consequently, the political leadership will be required to hold the government into account in respect to addressing the personnel issues that have been identified. The lack of sufficient personnel means that veterans have to wait longer to access critical medical services. Moreover, the political leadership must undertake to ensure that the relevant laws are fully enforced.

It is imperative that healthcare practitioners strive to ensure that veterans are provided with timely medical services. To this end, it may be important for the political leaders to evaluate the factors affecting the provision of quality healthcare to veterans. It may be necessary to combine political strategy with legislative measures to decisively address the identified problems.
Legislative Strategy
The enactment of robust laws has helped to guarantee that the rights of all veterans are respected. The nation is acutely aware of the need to ensure that veterans are provided with a decent quality of life. It is because of this reason that it may be important to ensure that all the relevant provisions of the law all fully enforced. It may be important to evaluate how the law has helped to advance the VA health care agenda. The federal government is required to ensure that the healthcare benefits of veterans are available to them (Jha et al. 95). It may be necessary to change the laws to streamline the process of enrolling for the health care benefits. In essence, legislative measures may be undertaken to address the complex criteria that are used to determine access to health care (Zeiss & Bradley 75). The objective should be to ensure that the laws have been simplified for easier application. It is equally imperative to guarantee that veterans will be accorded their disability benefits where applicable.
Congress will play a critical role in undertaking legislative measures to safeguard the welfare of veterans. Congress is charged with the responsibility of representing the interests of their respective constituents. Consequently, it would be imperative for the institution to determine the legal loopholes that should be sealed to help solve the problems. Congress may pass appropriate laws increase allocation to the VA department. The funds will be used to recruit qualified medical assistants who will be charged with the responsibility of scheduling appointment for veterans (Frueh et al. 469). It is the sole prerogative of Congress to enact appropriate laws that will further address the healthcare challenges affecting veterans.
