Employment Laws
A myriad of laws in America ensures that employees are protected from discrimination. Three of the most important pieces of legislation are discussed below.
Americans With Disabilities Act
As the name suggests, this law protects individuals with disabilities from discrimination and protects them once they are employed. It makes it illegal for an employer to refuse to offer one a job or compel them to reveal a possible disability before offering them a position. Moreover, the law makes it a requirement for a potential employer to provide a conducive environment when conducting interviews with people who are disabled. Such extends to reasonable changes and adjustments so that one is considered for the job.
Civil Rights Act of 1964
The Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits any form of religious discrimination either in hiring or firing employees or any other terms and conditions associated with working for the said employer. Such conditions include job transfers, wages, and salaries, promotions and discrimination against attire. It also created the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) which handles complaints about religious discrimination at the workplaceCITATION Bow05 p 19 l 1033 (Bowie, McMahon and Chang 19). The commission has thus improved work relations.
Equal Pay Act of 1963
The Equal Pay Act is one of the essential labor laws in America. It abolished the wage discrepancy that existed in America which saw men and women paid differently because of their gender.

Wait! CASE SCENARIO paper is just an example!

It guarantees women equal pay for equal work. It has gone a long way in improving living standards as the thousands of women who are employed can now earn as much, if not more than men. It certainly changed the concept of fairness in America. The labor disputes that previously existed as a result of the wage discrepancy are also a thing of the past.
