Technological advancement has led to the development of devices with a cultural effect. One example of such is the mobile devices. These communication gadgets have found near absolute acceptance in all aspects of life (Baker, Lusk & Neuhauser, 2012). Though it is still debatable whether or not they should be an inclusive part of American schools, it is, however, appropriate to absorb them into the school system, more so in class work. Getting into an American High School today reveals a lot about the ubiquity of cellphones in schools. As a matter of fact, the students are usually seen tapping their phones as they exchange text messages or listening to music on their earbuds. These are in situations when they are not surfing the internet. As such, the situation is one needful of critical approach in order to cater for the educational needs of the students while at the same time enhancing their inclusivity in modern civilization. To begin with, it is worth noting that there is a bulk of schools that allow students to have the phones for safety purposes following the 1999 Colorado school shooting (Baker, Lusk & Neuhauser, 2012). Additionally, most homes are sailing with the technological tide as it is seen in the installation of network receivers and acquisition of internet-enabled devices. In this regard, educators should develop a mechanism in which students will not only be allowed to use a cell phone but use them in an educative manner.

This will be an acceptance of the current state of affairs. Submission of papers online, access to syllabuses and even online class forums are just but examples of the steps towards responsible use of technology. Since every school has an expected code of conduct, it is paramount that it be revised to allow for the disciplined use of cellphones. Student discipline is fundamentally what is needful. As such, schools should not use its lack off as an excuse for their failure to implement policies on technology inclusivity.
Organ Donation
All over the world, there are people desperately in need of medical attention as a result of failing body organs. Medically, this is countered by transplants where necessary. However, access to readily available organs is an uphill task. In fact, one has to patiently wait in line as the list of people in need can be at times long. Exploring donation avenues has been a critical issue wrought with ethical dilemmas both on the side of the state and individuals. Though this is true, it is my opinion that nations should develop a mechanism in which convicted criminals, especially those on death row, can donate organs. Ethically speaking, this is an apparent infringement on personal rights and dying wishes of an individual. However, it begs one to question why a state should execute an individual without giving a needy member of the society an opportunity to live. Though one may argue it is a perpetuation of punishment even in death, it is not so. This is because governments exist for the well-being of its populace. Correctional facilities are a means of rehabilitating individuals with criminal tendencies. Just as it focuses on this, a nation should equally focus on the redemption of its citizens’ health. Correctional procedures are an avenue for donation. While there are human rights governing the state on persons, organ donation should not be a means to trample on them. Seeking consent from the involved individuals should be a priority before carrying out the medical procedures. However, there may be situations where individuals adamantly refuse. In such a case, a nation should remember there are costs incurred for the good of all. Policies towards the acquisition of organs from such individuals should be implemented in a bit to save on a life. The foundation of this is the spirit of caring for the well-being of all, especially the living. As such, it is my opinion that nations should legalize and develop mechanisms of getting organs from criminals for the greater good of all.
