I agree with the post. Considering the unwritten code of the police department, it has “blue wall,” however, the consequences of its violation are so clear to several of the officers to the extent that the codes are notched with consideration of entry to the Police Academy. Several independent analysts and police officials claim that the police cover-ups on corruption, brutality, and various misconducts which are difficult to control universally. The police officers have hard decisions to make with consideration of loyalty to their fellow officers against loyalty to the society (Police Subcultures vs. Law Enforcement Code of Ethics, 2018). For example, in New York, there are several instances that include allegations of the stun-gun assaults by the police officers to infer in Queens, an individual being beaten by off-duty officers in Brooklyn, and the hit and run by a police patrol car at Manhattan where a pedestrian died.
The head departments for the police officers claim such reports of cover-ups are exaggerated; this has led to the refusal of police officers to give out the required information. It is insinuated that extraordinary forces are implemented to prevent the police officers can testify against each other. The police lingo is comprised of payment and non-payment options. According to the instructions from the police officers, they are not supposed to accept gratuities starting from when they join forces (Goldstein, 2018).
Wait! Code of Conduct paper is just an example!
Critics and experts maintain that more charges should be implemented. There should be stricter eligibility of the requirements that entail better education. An officer who should try and enforce laws is turned into a criminal conspirator at the point when the officer fails to report an abuse case. The word of God instructs for equality in the execution of duties without chauvinism (Holy Bible, 2016). Legislatures have approved the bill that has permitted prosecutors to be summoned before a jury with lack of immunity from criminal charges as provided by the law. Considering the proposed law in the utilization of “immunity,” a police officer should face the disapproval of the court charges when he or she refuses to testify after receiving limited immunity.
