My father is dark-skinned while my mother is white. I have served in the United State Navy. I have traveled to many parts of the world for training and servicing to humanity. Having been born in America, I have been brought up in the western culture. Some of the fundamental cultural values that I have inherited are democracy, individualistic ones that are having my own unique identity and rational thinking.
Different Cultural Perspective
To compare different cultures and how they influence perceptions, I will consider Jack Ma Yun who is a successful Chinese businessman. China is a country in East Asia, hence with a different culture from the United States (Bodycott & Lai, 2012). Some of the differences between Chinese culture and western culture are the linguistic affiliation, food, ceremonial occasions, and commercial activities.

There also exist some similarities in both cultures from the west and from the east. These similarities include adherence to religious beliefs, technology acceptance, and modernization.
Conclusion
