Contributions of Technology to Fast-Paced Globalization
In its simplest form, globalization refers to the process by which governments, organizations and people integrate and interact on an international scale (Kaplan 325). Globalization relies heavily on two aids – communication and transport (Narula 27). On the other hand, technology refers to the practical application of scientific knowledge particularly in industry (Drori 63). Technology has contributed towards the fast-paced globalization witnessed in the world today by exerting positive effects on the two aids that facilitate globalization-communication and transport.
For globalization to take place, there is the need for communication between governments, organizations and individuals on a global scale (Kaplan 326). Advancement in technology has made communication fast, cheap and reliable. The invention of communication means like the telephone, television, the radio, email, social media, and most recently chat apps has enabled individuals, governments, or organizations in different parts of the world to interact as if they were only a few meters apart. This has increased the rate at which people interact and integrate on a global scale thus increasing the pace of globalization.
Globalization also relies on transportation to move goods and people from one region of the globe to the next, thereby promoting their interaction and integration (Kaplan 328). Technology has increased the pace of globalization by increasing the efficiency of various transport means.

Wait! Discuss how technology has contributed to a fast paced globalization in the world. paper is just an example!

Owing to the advancement in technology, faster and more convenient transport means like passenger and cargo planes have emerged thereby making it easy for people to interact and integrate on the global scale.
Technology has had a significant positive impact on globalization. It can, therefore, be considered to be the driving force behind the rapid globalization witnessed in the late 20th century and the early 21st century. By improving communication and transportation, technology increased the pace of globalization.
