Through the exercise, they will be able to share with children experiencing abuse. Through the lesson, the learner will be able to interact with the victims who will, in turn, invite them to open up. Role simulations will be utilized. Students will learn by watching a video (Rudolph, Raemer & Simon, 2014). Recordings will be made for future retrieval and clarification purposes. The surrounding will be prepared in a similar manner as the video’s environment. Two participants will be actively involved in the exercise. One participant will act as the young one with cigarette burns and cough while the other acts as a nurse.
The lesson also incorporates patient-centered care, care, communication and documentation, and prioritization. Patient-centered care would ensure the victim gets the needed care and would also aid determine whether the patients were suffering from abuse (Reece, Hanson & Sargent, 2014). Communication allows opening up while prioritization aids patients integrate with medical intervention approaches utilized.
The lesson should, however, be modified to create more understanding of the competencies. As outlined by the IOM Competencies, it should focus on core competencies, knowledge and profession development by encompassing evidence-based practice, and integrate efficiently with victims and their family members.

Faculty can determine the efficiency of the content in meeting the goals of the exercise and the significance in general practice. The program model should also incorporate lesson descriptions and objectives. Such integration would be student-centered focusing on child-abuse approaches and alternative assessment modes.
