Discussion question 7.
Why early identification/intervention is crucial to a child’s development, early warning signs caregivers should look out for, and the most common issues these young children face (200-word minimum)?
Studies have proved that children who have reached the desired school age undergo the highest rate of learning and child development. Caregivers have to acknowledge that it is at this stage that children get early experiences which in the long term end up to define these children’s lives (TEIS). Although many see this intervention to be suited for children with disabilities, the process is needed across all children. Early intervention for starters is very significant to tackle early child developmental delays. Teaching parents and caregivers on this intervention help them recognize the delays and come up with solutions at an early stage. An example of a solution is by increasing the intensity of the simulation the child gets from the surrounding environment. Secondly, through early intervention, parents and caregivers are in a position to provide the child with a good foundation characterized by healthy relationships, the building of child self-control and effective communication (TEIS).
In summary, the intervention will guarantee future healthy adulthood. The implementation of these intervention programs provides the child with greater opportunities, especially in the educational learning process. Moreover, adopting an early intention program helps empower all families that have children experiencing developmental delays.

The help is significantly extended to even children with specific disabilities or many other concerns that caregivers tend to have when children reach this age.
What are the techniques that parents and other caregivers can use to curb undesired behavior while promoting desired behavior (200-word minimum)?
As children grow, some tend to have disruptive behaviors characterized by too much aggression. Disruptive behavior in children makes it difficult to adapt to school life. Parents have to take control measures by also seeking help to guide such children. The disruptive behavior starts with children refusing to do simple and basic things such as wearing clothes or shoes. For starters, parents must begin by not showing children aggressive behaviors themselves. It is imperative that parents show the children that having a temper can be controlled. Parents have to teach children on ways of recognizing and coming to terms with their emotions and show them how fear and anger can be controlled. Immediately a child gets aggressive, the parent should respond quickly. This will make him know that what he or she has done is unacceptable. Parents must also make and teach children how to be responsible. This begins by helping them understand how to take responsibility. The actions of the caregiver can easily shape a child’s behavior. As such, when giving instructions, one has to do it in a calm and respectful manner. This will teach the child on the need always to be polite when relating with others and be calm on every instance to understand instructions.
Also, parents have to be clear on the set rules so that the child can know what is right or wrong. Rule setting acts as a guide to the children since they will understand the consequences for deviating from the set instructions. Children who start showing disruptive behaviors tend to have a poor transition into the learning process especially at school level. Aggressiveness, in particular, has to be controlled at an early stage to make sure the children have a good academic life. This means that parents have to look out at all available programs that can help control disruptive behaviors. Today, we have institutions that have come up with programs to help parents and children control such behaviors.
