Writers’ Blockers
Writers experience a condition called a writers’ block, which inhibits them from productivity. This condition does not only present itself to professional writers, but also to students and business writers experience too (Rose 146). A writer’s blocker inhibits him or her from writing. There are various techniques suggested on how to deal with this condition. Whenever I encounter the situation, I set timed goals, eliminate distractions, and force my writing by doing it.
One of the reasons that make me experience the condition is procrastinating, especially when I have long deadlines. It is difficult for me to start working on a paper that is not due soon. To deal with this type of writer’s block, I set goals and time myself. For example, I set thirty minutes in which I should complete two hundred words. This technique has worked for me because it is as if I am making shorter deadlines to achieve the goals.
Sometimes external distractions are the reason why I experience the dreaded writer’s block condition. They include my phone, the internet, and other people. Elimination of distractions is the primary reason why professional writers even leave their homes to go to other places while working on a book. This technique works perfectly for me.
At other times, it is the need for perfection that inhibits my writing. For example, I fail to think about the best introduction and how to make the ideas flow. In such situations, I force myself to start working by writing anything that comes to mind.

Concisely, writers experience blockers that keep them from transferring ideas from their minds into writing. It is imperative that authors use various techniques that help them deal with a block and achieve success.
