It has always been my passion to become a nurse. I started having an interest in the profession through my mother’s friend who works as a nurse in the local hospital. She talked enthusiastically about her work and then one day I had a chance to visit her place of work. As a person interested in giving back to the community, I immediately recognized that it was my life’s purpose to become a nurse. The nursing profession allows individuals to take and nurture other people in the society. It acts as a critical part of the health system by supporting the doctors and ensuring swift recovery of patients in the hospital.
Over the years, several motivational speakers have provided various ways to study effectively. However, I believe that good study habits entail choosing a conducive environment. Individuals can only keep concertation by reading in silent places like libraries. Students can also study longer by studying far from distractions such as the television.
Florence Nightingale gained fame when she helped soldiers during the Crimean war in Europe. At that time, most soldiers succumbed to death from injuries incurred during battle (Bostridge 3). Nightingale acts as my mentor because she changed the way the society looked at suffering. She set up one of the earliest groups of nurses in the nineteenth century, and that has inspired generations of nurses ever since.

I am praying that you will consider my application and enable me to fulfill my dream of becoming a nurse. I do not consider the profession as a job but as a calling. Nursing will aid in the fulfillment of my interests in serving the community. My compassion and empathy will allow me to make a significant impact in the society regarding health matters. My commitment and hard work will help me to become one of the best if not the best in the profession.
