Abstract
Mark Zuckerberg is an American technology entrepreneur. He was born in May 1984 in New York. He later attended Harvard University where he dropped out after launching Facebook on 4th February 2004. Zuckerberg began his software development training in his early years while in high school. During his college years, he also developed various programs, including FaceMash that helped students match pictures of fellow students. In November 2007, the chief executive officer of Facebook launched Beacon, a service that allowed Facebook users to share advertisements based on browsing activities. Among his other establishments include Start-up: Education foundation that helps support public school systems. Zuckerberg is also married to Priscilla Chan whom he met at the University of California as a medical student. As the chairman, chief executive, and the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg net worth is estimated at $56.4 billion. As a manager one ought to have various traits to help in the leadership roles. Various traits that a manager should possess include: taking responsibilities for the running of the organization; being aggressive; passionate; courageous and being visually oriented. The paper, therefore, focuses on various traits that Zuckerberg as a manager possesses.

Having launched the company in his dormitory at Harvard with his colleagues, he spread the social network to other colleges and later it grew to an international social network by 2012 when it attained one billion users. Zuckerberg began his software development training in his early years while in high school.
Mark Zuckerberg is a good manager of Facebook since he is responsible for the infrastructure and core technologies adopted by the company. He also has the responsibility of deciding the product strategy and the direction of the company on overall. Some of his most outstanding traits include aggression and encouraging. His leadership style encompasses a need for growth and innovation to serve other people and to make the world a better place. He’s hardworking, passionate, enthusiastic; has clear vision and mission, he’s encouraging and friendly (Daniel 12). Despite having a professional relationship with his workers, he also encourages them to give feedback and their views on different projects and services offered by Facebook. Mark is also a good and exemplary leader since he treats his employees equally and also gives them the freedom to choose when to work as long as they get their work done.
He also encourages culture and environment whereby people are not classified based on roles, experience or age, but one where people’s ideas are valued, and open communication is encouraged. He is also an epitome of a leader due to qualities such as his fearlessness and legitimacy that facilitated the single-handed development of his Facebook idea into a social network giant (Daniel 14). Conclusively, Mark Zuckerberg is a good leader who has excellent qualities and values of what it takes to succeed as a good leader.
