The Ethical Development of Human Capital
There exists an ethical dilemma when it comes to determining whether the healthcare of an individual should be personal or public. Is there a responsibility that exists in caring for someone’s health? (Knadig and Tomlinson, 189). Some argue that healthcare should be a private matter and no one has the responsibility of controlling how people live their lives. Healthcare ethics limit employers the blame for the well-being of their employees. However, due to insurance matters, some employers have taken it upon themselves to control the lifestyle of their workers.
Human capital is very costly therefore most employment companies are concerned on the health of the employees they incorporate in their companies. Employers regulate someone’s behavior such as smoking to ensure they do not incur much insurance costs. An employer that pays for the insurance premiums of their employees tends to give policies that control the lifestyle of their workers. Some may say that it is a violation of the privacy policy but is it a privacy issue or is it taking care of the company’s earnings. Despite having the right to control the lifestyle of a worker, not all policies presuming the lifestyle are ethically allowed. For example, an employer is not morally correct to use gender and race to determine if an employee smokes. However, they can use someone’s medical history to assess their health and ability to work in the organization (Knadig and Tomlinson, 190).

Wait! Ethical Development Of Human Capital Coursework Example paper is just an example!

In conclusion, there is a principled limit in taking interests of the health care of a person. If the healthcare of a person affects the surrounding others, then that makes their health a public matter. Despite having privacy policies, taking care of the welfare of others does not mean breaks the barriers of someone’s privacy.

Thank you for your services, they are really helpful! I was ready to give up my term paper because I just haven’t any idea what to write about. I’ve found a couple of ideas here and finished my piece without hurdles.
