Psychology theories are essential in helping humans understand intriguing questions concerning cognitive functioning encompassing, perception, sensation, emotion, intuition, leaning processes hence behaviors (Kendra, 2018).
The Cognitive learning theory
This theory illustrates the importance of the brain in relation to information processing, learning and body interpretation. The theory is divided into two: the Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) and the Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT) (Sarah M, 2011).
The Social Cognitive Theory: This theory deals with three factors the behavioral factors, environmental factors, and personal factors, which are interrelated with each other hence necessitating the learning process to occur. The interaction between an individual and the environment is a great contributor to their cognitive competencies, beliefs and their ideas. As far as the person behavior interaction is concerned, the cognitive functions can alter a person’s behavior and induced cognitive performance tasks can help boost their cognitive capabilities. The environment-behavior relationship, emphasizes that external factors can modify a person’s behavior while their behavior can modify the environment (Sarah M, 2011).
The Cognitive Behavioral Theory: This theory illustrates the function of cognition in predicting the behavioral sequence of a person. According to Aaron Beck, the cognitive behavioral theory states that people tend to construct self-concepts, positive or negative, that results in the behavior they portray.

This theory explains human behavior using the cognitive behavior triad which includes: the self (I am rubbish), the world (i.e., the world is irrational) and the future (i.e., my future is doomed).
CONCLUSION
The cognitive learning theory is among the fundamental theories essential in understanding human cognitive abilities.
