Happiness and multiple factors that cause it

‘’ Happiness is the meaning and purpose of life, the objective, and the end of human existence.’’

-Aristotle.

Happiness in general terms can be conceptualized as a sensation that can be caused by multiple environmental factors in a human being. This feeling is closely linked to substances called neurotransmitters that are present inside the neurons of our brain, they are responsible for sending information according to the type of neurotransmitter. In happiness four of these substances intervene: dopamine. Endorphin, serotonin, oxytocin. But what function do these substances fulfill with such emotional feeling? Well, even if it seems, the situations that we live daily cause an increase in neurotransmitters, giving the signal to the brain that is in a comfortable circumstance. Each of the neurotransmitters mentioned above produces a different positive feeling.

Dopamine is responsible for our pleasure and satisfaction, it is activated in cases like in falling in love or obtaining an achievement that has cost us too much, this motivates us to continue fighting for a reward that is worth the sacrifice. On the other hand, endorphine is the one that is responsible for forgetting the pain completely, for example, when we dance, sing, draw, etc…. In those moments we are enjoying, that we completely ignore physical or emotional pain. In addition, there is oxytocin, the love hormone is usually named, since it causes us a feeling of complete security by being with the people who have a great appreciation, which is called affective link that causes us to trust people andallows building social links.

Wait! Happiness And Multiple Factors That Cause It paper is just an example!

Finally, neurotransmitter we have serotonin that makes us feel calm, this usually increases when we are accompanied by the person we have most appreciated.

The production of these neurotransmitters is what causes that feeling of happiness, and who is responsible for controlling them is the limbic system also known as the engine of our acts, who releases neurotransmitters that indicate to the body that is right and that is wrong, butSometimes the brain does not obey these messages, because the limbic system and the brain have no relationship with each other. It is for this reason that we question ourselves, do I listen to my heart or brain?

Although today people do not take importance to the internal processes that occur in our body due to the actions we perform at every moment; For for me it is important to convey this information to those who read this writing, since we must take into account everything that happens in our body, in order to have a wide self-knowledge of our being. Nowadays we look so much on what the other people say or do that in themTo reflect a little about the behaviors that we present day by day this will allow us to know if what we do helps us positively or negatively this allows people to be aware that they must eliminate and that it must gradually reinforceThings or toxic behaviors are being eliminated for many this is not usually important to find happiness, but when the person begins to be realized as released as he is

However, despite this happiness is also inherited, since 25% to 50% are in our genes, but does that mean that if my parents were pessimistic having negative thoughts, I will also be that unhappy?, Of course, no, since from there we put the rest, we must also take into account that 10% of happiness is determined by the environment and 40% is in the activities we do daily. On the other hand, it must be taken into account that the brain has the ability to adapt and change with respect to experiences which is known as neuroplasticity. Therefore, we can mold the brain, causing you to learn from mistakes and at the same time enjoy the good times, because both circumstances are part of the learning of life so I would tell you, since this life is created to experience multiple emotions andbe good or bad, but always with a teaching. Aristotels thought that happiness is more than a specific state, indicated that it is a lifestyle. The characteristic of that lifestyle is constantly exercising the best of every human being. It is also necessary to cultivate the prudence of the character and have a good “daimon” (good destiny or good luck). Personally, I consider that having good luck does not delimit this feeling, rather it is in ourselves, the human being is in all his power to decide what he wants for his life.

After research it has been proven that when we do activities that we enjoy doing, whether bad or good for the human being, because it makes us feel full and full. Let’s put the case to win the lottery, having so much money at your disposal you feel that feeling of happiness, that you have everything, that you can fulfill all your wishes, however, this pleasant feeling will end when all the fortune is exhausted. So I ask you. Does money generate true happiness?, We are so wrong to believe that having everything gives us the best happiness, but that kind of pleasure is so temporary. The best way to find this harmonious state is to have a life propositional, questioning you why am I here?, Perhaps the pleasure of having material things such as (the best mansion, the latest model car, the best clothes etc..) It produces so much "happiness" that it is believed, nothing is needed, but this makes no sense with life, but the commitment and objective will contribute to you, it has been scientifically proven that the people who are married have a more eternal happiness. Slavoj Zizek says that in the human being the dissatisfaction reigns because he does not really know what he wants. Everyone believes that if you reach something (buy one thing, upload their status, etc.) could be happy. But, in reality, unconsciously, what he wants to achieve is something else and that is why he remains dissatisfied.

Our emotions are our guide and approach system of existence, since if our feelings always remain in happiness, it will not be very usewhat we need in the present and project the true purpose of life more positively.

Now let’s talk about gratitude, where you recognize what people do for us, and not only recognize it, if you do not thank you from the heart;Cases such as work, love, friendship, family, if we value what we have increases value and quality.

Aristotle criticized by pointing out that many confuse pleasure and happiness

«Here is precisely pleasure; And therefore, a certain pleasure could be the supreme good, if it were absolute pleasure;although on the other hand many pleasures are bad. This is why everyone believes, that the happy life is a life of pleasure, and that pleasure is always intermingled with happiness. […];But happiness is a complete thing; And so the man, to be truly happy, has the need for the assets of the body and the external goods, and even of the property of fortune, not to find any obstacle on these sides. […] Excessive prosperity becomes a true obstacle; And perhaps then there is no reason to call it prosperity, the limit of this must be determined by its relations with happiness ».

In a nutshell pleasure and happiness must know how to differentiate and have a balance between them, because if we depended on pleasure to be happy it would be a ‘masked happiness’ and with little sense of life.

In conclusion, happiness is in our hands, we build the future, learning from each error that life presents, we acquire a new learning which allows us a constant change allowing us to have a better quality of existence. In addition, we have to value people who appreciate us and provide us all their unconditional support.

The joy of being happy, constitutes looking for it, and for that we have to work on having good positive thoughts, being very optimistic.

Let’s find the meaning of life!
