Comparison of Health Care Services in Iceland and the United States
In Iceland, the support for health care services is majorly financed by the state. It is delivered in the forms of direct tax-funded programs or indirectly through State Social Security Institute (SSSI) (Sigurgeirsdóttir, Waagfjörð and Maresso 43). In the US, individual patients pay directly for the treatments received either through their own pockets or through health insurance coverage benefits from employment organizations (“Health Economics Information Resources” Np). Iceland government offers publicly organized and funded health services at some point in time for a specified group of individuals such as children and unemployed populations in specific localities. In the USA, however, the federal government pay for special groups such as the military personnel and their dependents as well as the veterans. Other special groups such as the elderly, low-income mothers, and children from low-income families receive medication from the Medicare. Disabled groups also receive healthcare services with the help of Medicaid. The government of Iceland is mandated to finance health care through allocation by the parliament through the national budget yearly. The allocation is directed to either the ministry of Welfare or the IHI. In the US, however, the obligation of the government is to support the insurance companies and other private health insurance programs.

First of all, I want to say that these guys have pretty affordable prices. I asked them to write a compare-and-contrast essay and was really impressed with the final cost and, what is even more important, the level of quality.
