Abstract
Germs, handwashing and staying healthy is the part of health education that children in preschool need to learn at an early age. This is essential as germs, improper handwashing, and failure to wash hands contribute to a broad array of diseases as children get into contact with contaminated objects frequently. Germs get into the hands of animal and human fecal matter, dust or any other contaminated object. In order to achieve efficient handwashing, the practice should be taught at school and also embraced at home. The latter may prove to be a challenging endeavor; however, a close collaboration between the teachers and parents makes it easy. As such, the purpose of this paper is to inform parents of the importance of handwashing and suggests some ways in which their children can embrace the handwashing culture. To realize this a picture representing the theme is attached to the document and a letter is written and directed to respective parents on how to be involved in this development process.

The theme for this Healthy Take Home Bag is germs, handwashing, and staying healthy. Germs get into the hands of animal and human fecal matter, dust or any other contaminated object. As such, keeping the hands clean is the first protection that children and adults have against diseases.

It is worth noting that washing hand involves the use of clean running water and soap. Notably, this is important as it protects children from getting ill and spreading various germs to other children. The choice of the idea bag was fostered by the fact that it highlights areas in which children may get into contact with germs as such it is crucial to sink those germs as soon as possible.

Dear Parents
Since we resumed the spring session, it has been a great pleasure to have your children under my care with the focus on developing their reading, writing, social and hygiene-associated skills. Of this, we have learned a lot, and your little ones are proud as they can learn and write. Nevertheless, the developmental studies of your children do not end with the reading and writing. They need to know more about their hygiene also. It is thus necessary to get them involved in activities that assist them to learn the importance of washing hands and when to do it. In this regard, the healthy take home bag focuses on how to sink germs by washing hands.
One of the ways to engage your children in the hand washing culture is to play with them the bean bag tossing game. In this game, children will "sink germs" by throwing a beanbag (representing germs) into a specific container. There are six bean bags which are to be tossed in the container and correspond to the six times (as shown in the picture) that essential to wash hands. As such to play, two materials are needed: a container and six bean bags. Additionally, there is also a need to use children literature to make your children understand the need to wash hands. Some of the recommended literature include "Germs Make Me Sick" by Melvin Berger and "Buddy Bear's Hand Washing Troubles" by Marjorie T. Cooke. These books are children friendly due to their pictorial representation and use of children's familiar characters.
We have studied, learned, played, and laughed with your little ones throughout this spring session. Make it your turn to enrich their lives at home by actively engaging them in their development process. Remember, I always cherish your children and have a great interest in their development and destinies.
