What are some of the characteristics of American Medicine in the 19th Century and how was early 20th Century Medicine different.
During the 19th century, hospitals were considered places where poor and insane people went to die. The public considered poverty as a cause of most of their diseases and not the poor living conditions. Many physicians were quacks or people who were selling snake oils. The hospitals also lacked proper treatment facilities.
The 20th Century is considered the Golden Age of the American medical system. The hospitals had adequate facilities like beds, and wealthy citizens adequately funded them. The religious groups also chipped in and opened hospitals that were treating everyone. It is during the 20th century that the hospitals became highly professionalized and there was tension building up between administrators based on conflicting ideas on how treatment was to be handled.
What was the first industrial revolution?
The first Industrial Revolution occurred in England in the late 18th century where James Watt discovered steam engine that would provide power to operate machines in the textile industry. It majorly focused on clothes as clothes were a basic necessity to everyone.
What were the economic inventions of the industrial revolution?
The significant economic inventions were the inventions of the steam engine with the aim of power production that was to be sold to major industries like textile industries to obtain revenues. This power was also distributed to homestead where the benefactors were supposed to pay for the services.

To distribute electricity most of the natural habitats are destroyed to create space.
What was the Assembly line and what was it used for?
It was a manufacturing process where parts were added as semi-finished and moved from one workstation to another. Assembly line was used in car production to aid in large quantities and was first used in the automotive industry.
