It is essential to acknowledge the fact that in Latin America, Haiti registers the highest prevalence of HIV/AIDS infection rates (United Nations, 2011). On the other side, the majority of the Haitian populations are settled in Florida. The statistical result findings of a research conducted in 2016 revealed that Miami registered the highest HIV/AIDS infection rates per capita compared to any other city in the United States of America. Therefore, Miami is known to be the core of HIV/AIDS in the country. In a bid to address this situation, therefore, various better plan care strategies have been established. This essay endeavors to focus on the use of support groups as well as printing of flyers/brochures to educate Haitian community in Miami Florida in a bid to decrease the social stigmatization.
The discrimination and the HIV/AIDS stigma are the main factors that continue to negatively affect the HIV/AIDS patients (Gifford, 2005). Therefore, in a bid to rebuild the self –esteem of the patients, it is important to establish support groups that serve to encourage them and act as a platform where they can freely share their ideas with their colleagues. However, this method of using support groups may take a considerable amount of time to yield success. Therefore, this strategy should be coupled with social awareness campaigns.
Secondly, the use of flyers/brochures done in French/Creole languages will help enlighten the society on important information about HIV/AIDS.

This is the least expensive method of information dissemination. However, it is important to note that due to the simple nature of the flyers/brochures the audience could easily misplace or fail to read the content. Therefore, this could be backed up with awareness messages on billboards.
In sum, the use of support groups as well as flyers/brochures are significant in educating the people of Florida as well as the HIV/AIDS patients.
