Abstract
This paper explores three articles that aim at providing more and detailed information on homeless people. Nowadays, there is a rising population without homes because of various reasons. The research conducted by different scholars shows that they have a common conclusion that poverty is the root cause of the homeless, especially in America. Thomas (2007) conducted a research and found out that many people when they suffer from being homeless seek refuge from the welfare offices as others join their family members or distant relatives to seek refuge. Research conducted by Wright indicated that the root cause of homelessness is the poverty as most of those affected compete with those who are wealthy for the housing facilities that are limited. As a result, it is found that those who can afford the facility displace those who cannot afford. Finally, the paper focuses on some possible solutions on how the problem can be solved.

The author of the article explains the challenges that homeless people experience as most of them are likely to have poor health and this may cause their premature death. He further finds out that inventions will be the first step in setting strategies for those affected.

Thomas explains that it is normally difficult for other people to know where the homeless go after they are affected. He, therefore, conducted a survey to understand exactly where the affected individuals first seek help. The report indicated that most of them seek food while others visit welfare office and others join their relatives. The article is relevant as it helps us understand the challenges faced by the homeless people (Thomas, 2007).

The author illustrates the possible reasons why most people in the USA are homeless. However, he found that there is an increasing number of those who are born every year thus creating competition between those who can afford the housing facility as well as those who are poor. Again, both geographers and scientists are working hand in hand to seek a solution to the problem. It is further clear that the victims are affected by the cold weather that may cause their deaths. The journal is relevant as it informs us of the causes of the homeless as well as possible solutions to the challenge (Takahashi, 1996).

The author of the article illustrates how individuals from various communities suffer as a result of lacking homes. He concentrated in all the areas by considering the challenges faced by the old, newborns, and women. It is clear that homelessness affects everyone regardless of their status. Also, the main area of concern is the cause of the homeless. It is clear that the major cause is by poverty. Therefore, the article is relevant as it helps us know the root cause of the homeless and if possible, correct measures can be taken to curb the problem (Wright, 2017).
