Effect of Gender on Depression
Thesis: depression affects more women than men
Purpose
The purpose of the study is to show the factors relating to gender that cause more women than men to suffer from depression. Past studies have indicated that the prevalence of depression among women is greater than that of men (Sasson & Umberson, 2013). Practitioners also indicate that they treat more women than men for depressive disorder (Girgus & Yang, 2015). Hence, it is possible that there are important factors that can explain the differences (Steiger, Dresler, Kluge & Schüssler, 2013). The study will assess the possibility of their existence and further investigate their specific effect on the brain structures that underlie depression.
Significance
The results of the study will play an important role in informing practice. The results will be used by therapists to customize mental health interventions to the needs of the patients. If the study establishes that more women are at risk of suffering depression, they will develop interventions targeted to the population (Shinkov, Borisova, Kovacheva, Vlahov, Dakovska, Atanassova & Vukov, 2014). The results will also inform preventive practices after the underlying factors are identified. The results will also be used for future research on the gender influence on depression (Martin, Neighbors & Griffith, 2013). It will form the foundation for other studies on the topic.

Research
The researcher will conduct a secondary study, which means that the researcher will uses information from studies that are already published. Therefore, the researcher will search for studies to use from online databases. The key terms that will be used are obtained from the question. The sources will be filtered using the abstract. After the identification of the sources, they will be reviewed for data to inform findings.

I need to work a lot; that’s why I really didn’t have a single minute to focus on my thesis writing. These guys from AnyCustomWriting are real saviors. I don’t know how they knew what my professor expected to receive, but they definitely succeeded.
