Nature vs. nurture
As social beings, we get to experience culture from a very tender age and from this we are able to see similarities and differences among human beings since we all come from different cultures. As we concur culture is taught, there are obvious similarities that cut across culture, gender and economic status depending on the setting we have grown up in. The essay will shed light on these similarities from diverse people across the globe differentiating if we were born with these qualities or we learned them commonly known as nurture versus nature.
In African culture, for example, one similarity is a man being the head of a household. The quality is nurture as boys acquire this trait during initiation a transition from childhood to adulthood where they are taught the responsibilities of a man. The reason why this trait is from nurture is that over the years women have taken the role of leadership in the household and some tribes, for example, the Giriama from Kenya were led by a woman called Mekatilili wa Menza showing this is a learned trait.
When it comes to social economics, most societies were divided into three classes the rich, poor and middle class. The trait is nature since this cannot be learned and we have always found it that way. Basically, this means you cannot change these three states but one can move from one class to another depending on their attitude through a phenomenon known as social mobility (Murphy 41). It is where the movement is either vertical or horizontal across different generations.

Wait! HUMAN DIVERSITY paper is just an example!

The social classes will always exist despite the coming of future generations. In conclusion, it is fit to say that in culture some things exist either from nature or nurture. The former means that it cannot be changed despite what and the later means we learn and pick it up as we progress with our lives.
