DateIaaS Provider Analysis
Infrastructure as a service (IAAS) involves the provision of hardware such as servers, storage media and network as well as the corresponding operating system, filling system and virtualization platforms. The providers usually compete based on their capacity to offer bandwidth scaling, storage, clustering, and virtualization capacities at the best prices (Bhardwaj, Leena and Sandeep 62). Three such providers include Amazon AWS, DigitalOcean and Microsoft Azure (Stringfellow 1).
Amazon AWS is known for its vast variety of storage services. It leads its competitors in terms of computing power and content delivery. An AWS client enjoys benefits accrued from the provider’s storage capacity. These benefits include the scalability of the infrastructure, the provision for data recovery as well as data back-up. These features are especially crucial to firms whose core businesses involve the collection, maintenance, and manipulation of abstract data, such as electoral bodies (Stringfellow 1).
DigitalOcean’s virtual control sets it apart from its competitors. Through virtualization, the provider can offer its clients benefits such as incremental payment which saves firms money. It also provides privacy, automatic updates, and remote data access to all workstations (Bhardwaj, Leena and Sandeep 61). Moreover, DigitalOcean offers an elastic infrastructure that facilitates quick allocation and de-allocation of considerable scalable resources to its clientele, as demand requires.

Overall, virtualization by DigitalOcean results in increased functional efficiency hence lowered costs.
Microsoft Azure offers a platform on which the public can develop and maintain applications. Due to its open nature, Azure’s standout feature is clustering. This provider allows various operating systems, different developer languages, and tools. Clustering is beneficial to firms such as learning institutions, where its users have a wide range of hardware and software options that all need to be compatible with the infrastructure.
