Ideological Perspectives of Population-Specific Policy
The selected population is a vulnerable youth facing many challenges due to the lack of employment opportunities. Vulnerable youth refers to young people weak and poorly defended (Arora et al., 2015). These young people can be vulnerable in terms of the inability to meet basic needs, abuse, neglect or exploitation. At the same time, they may be people who are not able to access quality education or health care services in the society. Moreover, the number of such young persons is on the rise, calling for their protection.
Observably, some state and federal policies target young people, especially vulnerable youth. Youth Build Transfer Act is one of the federal social policies aimed at assisting young people. It anticipates to provide educational opportunities as well as job training services to low-income young people in the USA (Fernandes-Alcantara, 2012). The Grand for State and Community programs that aims at providing comprehensive services to young people at both federal and state levels is second federal policy. Additionally, New York has some policies for vulnerable young people. Notably, the Young Adult Literacy Program intends to improve literacy skills, especially reading and writing among junior persons. The program is chiefly designed for disconnected youth. At the same time, the state has the Healthy Family Program that targets young couples.

Notably, it helps young families to access critical resources, including addressing of issues such as domestic violence and drug abuse.
Observably, the policies are directly linked to young people. Importantly, they aim at addressing some challenges or problems encountered by youth in many societies. Both the state and federal governments have realized that young people are vulnerable to certain risks. Therefore, they began initiating the policies to help in protecting and improving the well-being of young people.
