General Purpose: To instill knowledge on practical awareness
Specific Purpose: To present on how to undertake the installation of electrical outlets.
Central Idea: Undertaking changes on an electrical outlet may appear frightening (Linsley, 2009). However, the project is very simple so long as proper procedures are followed during electrical wiring.
Introduction

Theme statement – In this presentation, I will take you through the steps that lead to the installation of an effective electrical outlet.
Credibility – It is to my belief that all of you have knowledge concerned with working with electricity and for this reason, I hope you will understand me well in all the concepts I am going to demonstrate to you. So, let us proceed now.
Preview of points – I intend to give an explanation of the materials required and procedures that will be followed towards ensuring the success of the process.

Steps in Electrical Outlet Installation
The installation steps will proceed as shown below with respective images above the steps.

Step 1: Have a breaker or fuse that is capable of shutting off the circuit (PlanItDIY, 2016) that you intend to work with and ensure it is not within the off position.

Step 2: Ensure that there is no power flow by use of voltage tester next to the receptor in order to also check for the flow of current.

Step 3: Ensure that the plate is off through the removal of two screws that enhances its security with the light switch (PlanItDIY, 2016). Alternatively, you may use the source of light in the event that you are unable to see well what you are performing.

Step 4: Make sure that you remove all the screws that are holding the receptacles with the electrical box on the wall.

Step 5: Pull out the switch from the box and note the manner (PlanItDIY, 2016) by which the switch has been wired. If need be, take a photograph of it or even take notes over it.

Step 6: Ensure the removal of all wires that stayed for long

Step 7: Proceed then with the reconnection of wires in the real configuration (PlanItDIY, 2016) the way they were in the beginning. Also, perform the wrap-up and tightening of the open wires that are close to the screw.

Step 8: With precautions, pull the receptacle backwards into the box and ensure its security with its respective screws.

Step 9: Perfom the task of screwing the plate back
