International Relations
There have been numerous dramatic changes in the global system over the past few years. Some issues have raised concern about the humanitarian intervention, the challenge of national sovereignty. We all need to think about how we understand about conflict and international peace. American has to do a lot of things to ensure there is the preservation of world peace and global security. One of the most critical parts is ensuring that the world educates everyone on the surrounding freedom, safety, and justice. With these studies, we will increase our thinking and knowledge about human needs. Consequently, the American government has done things which led to rising of terrorist and many rebel groups which upsurge against the country. One of the rebel groups is the Ku Klux Klan which I am also part of which rose due to issues of racism in America. The paper will give an overview of the hostilities faced by the group when solving the violent disputes.
The United States has a history of hate without natural discord which characterizes democracy. Instead, it has many involvements in irrational, wildness, hatred and killing that has made women and men throughout the American history become extremely violent against other individuals. These problems naturally rise because of religion, nationality, lifestyle or race. The Ku Klux Clan which I represent has given a vehicle for such kind of hatred in the United States. Its member admits the responsibilities of involvement in atrocities which prove difficult for many individuals to imagine (Galbraith, 2017).

Although the group has declined over the current years, other dangerous teams have risen such as KKK. Others call themselves skinheads and usually comprise of teenagers who dress in swastika tattoos and trim their heads. Some of them consist of young men wearing plastic guerilla and camouflage fatigues for war tactics. Others are professionals with conservative dressing codes who publish articles full of bizarre beliefs.
These groups have many ideas which deny the happening of Nazi holocaust. They think that the federal government in the United States is an illegitimate body because all the powers of governance rest in the hands of county sheriffs. There have been peculiarities that all these groups share deep-rooted resentment and hatred that give support to the Klan. They have terrorized the Jews and minorities in the state for over one century, but the entire violent prejudices do not all involve the Ku Klux Klan only or other supremacist white organizations. Arsons, bombing, assaults, and murders happen every year by individuals with no connection to organized groups but usually, involve people who have extreme hatred. According to Vterzyan (2017), it is essential to understand the essence of history at a premature age. The prejudice and racist activities in America usually sustain the Klan.
I am a young activist in civil rights who works alongside others like the late Martin Luther and John Lewis. In my point of view, I saw the organization as an evident influence in many places we have visited to organize protest segregation and voter registration. All of us knew what the Klansmen were capable of if given a chance to get away with cases of injustice. The KKK could get away with claims of murder for many years. The Klan acted as an instrument of black people and fear (Galbraith, 2017). The workers in the white civil privileges and even Jews knew that the intention of this concern was intended to act as our tool of control. We wished that we would keep things as they were in the south through acts of slavery. The Klan was very influential, and many people feared it due to the power it possessed on its southern society. But due to changes in time, the clan has been unmasked and all its illegal performances checked.
Currently, when I open my television, I see people in military uniforms and Klan robes giving out literature full of hate in the city square. In the newspapers I find news on crosses burned in the folks’ yard. Some of our members have argued that our organization should be ignored with some saying that it is a waste of their precious time. But history cannot allow me to ignore the present proceedings. Racists should learn how to give respect to the legislature and those who do not allow the freedom of others should not be disregarded. Exercising the right laws is essential to keep the society stable. The History of KKK shows its struggles with the rule and to suggest why rebel groups should not be ignored. The Ku Klux Klan was the first American terrorist organization according to Galbraith (2017). We still need to work harder to ensure that our Klan does not become extinct. However, bigotry and malice are not limited by days in the calendar.
A Klan’s watch was established to monitor the activities of white supremacist throughout the United States. The investigators of Klan watch together with Southern Poverty Law center’s Klan watch Project (SPLC) attorneys succeeded in winning several major lawful fights against the members of the Klan for wrongs they committed. These acts do not comply with the American history; in fact, some things may make people who get the information ashamed or angry. But America should create a nation with democracy and equality for everyone. The government should comprehend the Villains and other heroes who exist in the country. The act will assist in continued nation-building which offers justice to everyone living within its walls.
After the founding of the KKK, it thundered transversely to the south which was torn by war sabotaging reconstruction states and imposing supremacy of violence and terror which lasted for four to three years. Its spread was rapid, and it faded into historical books. After the ending of the First World War, it paralyzed of the United States and led to widespread racism and bloodshed among the civilians. The Klan grew into an extensive collection and retreated to the background. At that time, it had not disappeared entirely, but its scope of command was not widespread like the previous years. The organization had significantly opposed to the principles of United States regarding equality and justice. According to various philosophers, the ghost of civil combat still haunts the United States with violence, hatred and occasionally the death of its citizens and enemies.
The answers to various questions about the American government do not show clearly on the outward of its history. They originate from its deep history that is, from cross burnings, lynching’s of the 1920s and turbulent 1960s. These factors took place beyond the civil war and the reconstruction era. During the frontier, the period is the time when such cases began. At that time the successive generations in America came to learn painful teachings about the means of survival. These experiences successfully produced some potentials of life mostly admired for the nation. These qualities include enterprising inventiveness, free individualism and freedom to become the person you would like.
Similarly, the spirit of frontier involved other character traits such as persistence on the entitlement of frontier righteousness. The characteristics also affected private, instant, often powerful and very personal technique of settling disputes without involving courts or lawyers. The frontier was restrained courthouses, churches and schools replaced log marketing posts. Immigrants substituted order and legislature for the longstanding brand of personal justice (Basrur, 2017). But the change did not receive a warm welcome from every person in the United States. The quest revenge and own justice became the primary motivation to many who later joined the Ku Klux Klan especially the uneducated and the poor.
Another factor that led to the rise of a rebel group is the night patrols. The most obvious reason as to why many people accepted the clan was due to slavery (Baasch and Prakash, 2016). The Klan had gained a lot of influence in the south because of the institution of slavery which made the affected to embrace it warmly. The freedom of slaves represented a bitter defeat for many white southerners. It would serve a failure in their social and economical way of living but not only a blow to the military power. The whites started seeing the nightmare as something which would eventually become real. The plantation owners and southern whites, in particular, began seeing having many slaves as a possible threat to their lives and property.
Several bloody revolts of slaves took place in Virginia and the south which led to increased practices of sanctioned night patrols. These patrols usually comprised of specially deputized white men to prevent the revolts. The night patrols were looked at by the white southerners as the source of protection against the slaves (Baasch and Prakash, 2016). The mounted regulators or patrols prowled the southern ways, enforced the restriction of slaves and guarded the rural zones against the danger of black rebellion. The law authorized them to give a specific number of strokes to anyone caught violating their rules. The memories of the permitted night patrols and their lashes still exist in the minds of liberated blacks and the defeated white southerners.
Another good reason is the aftermath. The KKK were incapable of winning on the battlefield, and they attempted to gain through other methods such as terrorism (BASRUR, 2017). The southerners also experienced some conditions immediately after their war with the blacks. The plantations, farms, and cities were all in ruins. They often suffered hunger due to the impoverishment. There existed reconstruction governments and professional army which threatened to seize the traditional governing authority of the whites. After the end of the fight, whites living in the south had to contend with the losses of property, honor, and life. During this period, KKK had a chance to take control over the south.
Increase in violent actions by the Klan against the south assisted in proving the argument of fundamental democrats from the southern part. These democrats always wanted more stringent measures engaged to the south of states a portion of their schedule to pressurize for equal treatment of blacks. The radicals, therefore, won various congressional elections because of the reports on clan violence against the southern whites. The organization had support from some white people and assisted it to work behind a covering which was impossible for reconstruction governors and Brownlow to pierce. But a large number of whites from south opposed to the activities of the radical governments. Additionally, they did not all approve the hooded guidelines brand and justice for vigilantes. At first, the parades and matches by the Klan members were sometimes jeered and hooted at by city inhabitants who saw it as a joke (Baasch and Prakash, 2016). But when they started using whips and guns some white ministers, civic leaders, and newspapers editors began talking about it saying that they were acting violently.
According to this paper, the United States has many terrorists and rebel groups who act against it because of the historical events which took part in the country (“What Foreign Policy Is,” 2017). For example, in the case of KKK, its members are driven by the urge to revenge for the slavery and the whipping by the whites. When blacks whipped the whites, many people spoke out against the act, but when the whites whisked the blacks, no one commented. There is also the issue of racial discrimination which dramatically causes the great rivalry against the United States. The United States should come up with laws which do favor not only the whites but also the other races. They should all be treated equally without acting in their power to harm others who do not have control. If it considers these factors, it can improve its international relations with other nations and its inhabitants.
