Interprofessional Collaborative Practice and Advanced Practice Nurses
Interprofessional practice as discussed by Reeves, Xyrichis and Zwarenstein (2018) is the collaboration and interprofessional learning from medical professionals from various professional backgrounds. It emanates from AANP (American Association of Nursing Practitioners) and ensures there is the provision of quality health care by working together with other caregivers, their patients, and families.
The collaboration helps to build trust among the members, enhances confidence among them and also facilitates the medical experts to work as a team. It is through the cooperation that the members can bring new members to the group and also help them to support each other when a mistake occurs (Liaw et al., 2014). By collaborating, the medical experts should be accountable and responsible. They should also ensure there is cooperation and proper communication with each other. Therefore, the caregivers should have skills like respect, autonomy, assertiveness and also facilitate the growth of the culture of mutual trust among them. By employing interprofessional practice, the caregivers increase job satisfaction and can provide high-quality care.
Interprofessional simulation experience is the most appropriate collaborative method that can be used in in Tuckerno’s situation. There are several factors as identified in the case that has contributed to conflict in the way the caregivers handle Ms.

Tuckerno’s prescription. Therefore, the strategy will help to enhance through training in the formative and summative simulations, the team skills that can be used to establish competencies in ways that the caregivers can lead and communicate with each other (Thomas et al, 2017). Additionally, the strategy will ensure the healthcare providers have an education that will ensure that they can respond to the various situations that universally face them. As a result, the conflict that is depicted in the case will cease to exist.
In conclusion, healthcare institutions should ensure they employ interprofessional practice to ensure there is no conflict in the prescription of medicine to patients.
