“Is Global Prevalence of Chronic Kidney Disease- A systematic Review and Meta-Analysis”
There has been a worrying problem created by the rise of “Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).” The disease is part of the many cardiovascular diseases (CVD) associated with increased cost of healthcare, premature mortality, cardiovascular morbidity and a case of decreasing the quality of life. For this reason, there have been concerns for the determination of the frequency of CKD from a global perspective through the use of variables of age, geographical locality, and gender. Achieving such an endeavor requires conducting observational studies and meta-analysis to estimate “the dominance of CKD disease in general populations.” The role of this article review is to present a systematic review of crucial data about “the dominance of CKD disease in general populations” across the globe.According to Hill et al. (6), the determination of the prevalence of CKD can be determined using pooled data following the utilization of a randomized model effect. A total of 5,842 articles were reviewed (Hill, 3). According to the article, diverse quality involving 100 studies were included in the survey, and these suggested the inclusion of 6,908,440 patients (Hill, 12). The results indicated that the prevalence of CKD was evaluated at 13%, depicting a case of a high incidence of the disease. Such an increase is attributable to an aging population, increased risk of diabetes mellitus and cases of hypertension.
