Is Jesus the only way to God?
Do not all the main religions of the world say the same about themselves? The truth is that, indeed, all religions ask similar questions: “Who is God?”, “Why is there such chaos in the world?” and “How can we solve this problem?”
Jesus is the only one of all the greatest religious leaders whose adherents called Himself God in the flesh. Neither Moses, nor Buddha, nor Muhammad, nor anyone else is awarded by their follower. In Bible Jesus also declared himself to be the only way to God: “Jesus said to him: I am the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father, but through me”.
The other Christian argument regards to the episode in Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed, saying (let us paraphrase his words): “My Father, I do not want to die, but if my death is the only thing that can bring salvation to the world, then I will resign myself and accept death on the cross”. The Father’s (God’s) answer was that there is no other way and that’s why Jesus died on the cross. According to Christian theology, if access to God was through someone else or something else, then Jesus’ death would be foolish and useless.
However, to my mind, imposing these arguments to convince the adherents of the other religions to join Christianity seem to be if not offensive, but quite assertive and unreliable. While the argument with the death of Christ on the cross seems to be more or less argumentative as an example of the sacrifice of the first Christian people for his people (and humanity at all), the argument in John 14:6 does not provide any solid basis under it.

Wait! Is Jesus the only way to God paper is just an example!

Even in the first years of Christianity, the Jewish community was quite doubtful towards the new sect (that is how Christianity was percept in the first centuries AD) used these word of Jesus only to accuse him of messiah impostor. To this end, Christian doctrine in proving to be the only way to God may effectively appeal to a person, already believing in higher nature of Jesus Christ.
