The North Carolina education involves a public school system encompassing prekindergarten through to grade 12. The public school system functions in districts which are governed by school boards and superintendents from the local region. The school system encourages a good ration between learners and teachers where a teacher is assigned to every fifteen students for the public schools (Kvartiuk 1132). The rationing fosters delivery of quality education to learners since there is no pressure on the available resources. The level of administration is excellent since for every two hundred and eighty-three learners there is one administrator who is concerned on daily students’ affairs.

The research is for Wake County which is located in North Carolina and has a population of 1,024,198, and it is the second most popular county in the region. It has around eight institutions of higher learning from universities, colleges and technical centers networked with a modern library (Kvartiuk 1138). The public education in Wake County is provided by a public school system for the Wake County, and it has 27 high schools, 33 middle schools, and 104 elementary schools, but there are also eight specialized schools.

The new schools’ superintendent of Wake County is known as Cary Moore who is popular in the region since she has served as an educator for 30 years. Cathy Moore was appointed in May by the school board members where she was promoted to be the new leader of the biggest school district in North Carolina.

Moore is familiar with working at Wake County since been that she has worked in the region since 1988 to oversee academic matters. Moore is the first permanent female superintendent in Wake County.
