Nominations and elections in the United States have always been controversial. However, these controversies have just heightened within the last four years. It started when the then-presidential hopeful, Donald Trump was accused of sexual assault towards women. However, improves to have overcome this challenge by winning the election despite these accusations. The same idea has been followed by the recent Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh. This was an issue that sparked protests from different places in the country. The main idea is because Brett Kavanaugh had been accused of sexual assault by someone whom they were in school within the year 1982.
Nonetheless, Brett Kavanaugh who the election by a slight margin. This proved to be a victory for the president of the United States. President Donald Trump nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh for the position of an associate justice in a supreme court of the United States. The nomination took place and July 9th, 2018 after there was a vacancy that was left by the retired Kennedy Anthony. This case shows how far the united states have won as a country. Despite the circumstances that first George Brett, he still managed to win the seat weed slight margin. This is something that will form a debate in many years to come and how far this country can go we’ve acts that are controversial such as this one. Cases of controversy have been a massive part of the US elections. The president himself was once accused of assault before getting elected for the presidential post.
