Reading my first novel
I had always wondered why people spend so much time reading novels. To me, they had just appeared as big books that would waste my time. What do people gain from reading such huge novels? I would always hear friends of mine bragging that they read a whole novel in just two days. I kept wondering what all the fuss was about. My friends would always try to get me to read such novels.
One day, out of boredom, I borrowed a novel to skim through it. The novel was titled “Moment of Truth.” It was of huge volume, as other novels. Nonetheless, I proceeded to read the novel. Its introduction was very catching as it painted a vivid picture. I found the story very interesting, and I could not put the book down. Emotions were stirred within me as I picked characters that I liked and rooted for them.
The novel was action packed as events unfolded unexpectedly. I was captivated. What was supposed to be a skimming endeavor, turned out to be a reading roller-coaster experience? The author was able to make me feel high at times and low at other times. This depended on what the characters that I was rooting for were going through.
All of a sudden, I was able to appreciate and understand what all the fuss was about regarding novels. I spent most of the time reading the novel, flipping pages eager to know what would happen next. I could not let go of the novel. Since it was my first time, it took me a long time to complete reading the novel.

Wait! Literacy Narrative paper is just an example!

However, it was worth it. It was an experience I would never forget.
