The above video is very vital to the study of human anatomy. It’s an analysis of the major muscles of the human body. The video shows the location and function of all the thirteen major human body muscles, these muscles are the key enablers of body locomotion, the muscles also give the human body its shape, and they enable both simple and complex moves. The human body is made up of more than six hundred muscles, but the major muscles are displayed in the video. The muscles are different from the other body tissues because they can contract hence facilitating the movement of other body parts.
The study of major muscles of the human body has positive contributions to my career. Understanding the human musculoskeletal structure helps in selecting the best treatment formulae for patients with chronic discomfort, correcting patients posture especially after suffering injuries and designing training and exercise programs (Winter, 2009).
The knowledge gained from this topic can be applied on various occasions especially in my community. For example, solving chronic headache cases that disturb many people in the society: which are caused by tight superior fibers of the Trapezius muscle. The muscle starts from the occipital bone which is part of the skull; in cases when the fibers are tight or tensed, they pull on the occipital bone causing the domino effect to all parts of the skull.

A continuous pull of the skull from all directions results in a headache. With the knowledge of such body muscles, I can help a victim alleviate tension in the superior fibers which relief headaches by removing pressure from the occipital bone (Winter, 2009).
