Introduction

Who is the speech of Martin Luther King Jr aimed at? "I have to Dream" is a speech whose authorship belongs to the African -American Martin Luther King and was recited on August 28, 1963 in Washington. This discourse has been of great controversy, since it is thought that its importance was essential for the proclamation of the civil rights of all Americans in the United States. The speech emphasizes the abuses that African Americans suffered at the time and of the little value they were given as slaves. 

The speech was full of feeling of justice and freedom, for this reason from my perspective, the speech is directed towards all the people who had an opinion about the black people of that time in the United States whether it was for belonging to the sameracial group or by sharing the need for justice for all American citizens. Due to the content of the hopeful discourse and with claim of the rights of respect and equality, the discourse is addressed in the same way to those who did not recognize the rights of African Americans.

Understanding the government itself who was and is in charge of enforcing the rights and that these are applied indiscriminately. Although their audience were mostly black people, you could see in the video that white, Latin men, and many other ethnic groups also participated, which were also wrapped in this wave of segregation, which toAlthough they did not suffer as much discrimination as those of black race, they somehow were affected.

The speech is a collaborative call towards those who support the aforementioned thoughts and attitudes, making them see the need for justice and equity of rights for all.

In all other sciences they speak of a single man, bone of a single being, including philosophy which studies the behavior of the human being only focuses on human as a species and not as a race, however, politics is the only one thatHe is forced to study man according to his race, since he has to take into account his uses, customs, ideologies, etc. And throughout history this has been a central issue to be able to govern human beings efficiently. The objective of politics is to find a way to live together with each other.

No matter its race and respecting the customs of each ethnicity, this creating norms and regulations so that their coexistence is respectful and harmonious between people and avoid the emergence of conflicts (Arendt). Then already returning to the theme of this task, at the historical moment of Martin Luther King Jr’s speech. The rights of black man were not being respected, the norms generated by politics were not treating their peers equally, that is, those of white race were being more favored when the black -race ones have exactly the same dignity as the otherethnic group.

This was obviously generating discontent in society, so they were just asking their equal treatment. In conclusion, in the speech it can be seen that the political burden is important, since the black community is requesting, in a peaceful and desperate way, that they are considered what they are, free humans and that the State intervenes legally to makebe worth your rights. To know the context you have to know the story in which the black community had been experiencing during the passing of the years.

Slavery in the United States was abolished and prohibited in 1863 (100 years before Martin Luther King’s speech) and was promulgated by the president in turn Abraham Lincoln, however, the route that was used was that of the "Presidential Decree", and in this document he cited that states was abolished slavery, and curiously this decree did not quote the states of the southern United States (Eduardo), so slavery was not eliminated in a total way, this caused that in states in statesDel Sur would naturally grow hatred towards the African -American community.
