Religion is a way of life in which the religious belief in the existence of a supreme being. The religious usually adore the Supreme being and follow all his commands that usually dictate on the way they should conduct themselves while on earth. Religion has a promise of life after death which makes the believers be obedient and faithful to the rules and regulations set by the Supreme being. There are different kinds of religion and the paper shall discuss the Muslim religion the factors that surround the religion ways of living and worshipping.
Explain what the five pillars of Islam are.
According to Esposito, J. L. (2016) the five pillars of Islam religion are the Shahada which states that Allah is the only one to be worshipped. This is a crucial pillar of the faith of Islam’s and it depicts the personality of Allah. The other pillar is of Swalla that states that as an Islam prayer is a key factor and Islam’s should heed to their prayer routines. The other pillar is Zakat this is a pillar which dictates how Islam’s should relate to the poor in the society it states that they should periodically help the poor. The pillar of Saum is the fourth pillar which states that the religious should fast and pray to Allah. The fifth pillar is the pillar of Haj which every Muslim should pray while facing the holy land.

There are four schools of Islamic law as stipulated by Amman’s message. These schools are Hanafi, Shafi’I, Maliki, and Hanbali. Sharia and Fiqh are connected to the Islamic law because in both they seek to understand the Islamic law and interpret it.

How have various reformers understood the term jihad and ijtihad?Various reformers have disagreed with the concepts of the Jihad which have been misinterpreted by insurgent groups. Thus, have formed coalitions such as Jihad and reform front that opposes insurgent Islamic groups.
The Islamic religion just like all other religions has its own unique challenges. These challenges are as a result of misinterpretation of the Quran thus formation of terror groups. Despite these enormous challenges the Islamic leadership has done its level best to prevent radicalization of Muslims. It has also ensured that the rules and regulations of the Muslim law are strictly adhered to.
