Question 1
In this text, Mr. King gives a comparison and contrasting views of the responses that the horror film “My Creature from the Black Lagoon,” gets from different audiences. The latest texts draw the emotions of the mode of persuasion that the author attempts. King draws the reader’s attention by reliving the experience in the horror film by people of different ages. He states about the reaction of the adults and the reaction of the young people. According to his viewing, the young viewers get a little nostalgic with the film. This is different from the second, where the parents of the small children have the joy of seeing the belief that their children have on them (Russell 130). As an adult, this move makes Mr. King feel just similar to the child with the moments of suspending beliefs. According to him, they have the same feeling.
Question 2
King mentions some other movies besides “The creature from the black Lagoon”. In Some of the films he witches, dragons, and poison of death are included. The video that I have seen in the list is the one for “witches.” This is a scary horror movie where witches are hunting and killing people. I was trying to visualize how people were being killed. This movie makes me feel nostalgic as during watching it I have quite a scary feeling.
Question 3
Mr. King states that horror films are favorite today because of the increased number of audiences. The children are the primary audiences for the horror films.

Wait! My creature from the Black Lagoon by Stephen King paper is just an example!

However, being the adults had also been through the experiences earlier in their lives (Russell 131). Therefore, it was easier to reintroduce them to the horrors that they had seen. This makes the horror films a favorite genre today as it gets all the audiences. The horror films also slip a particular type of realm into the viewers. They connect with the horror realms. I agree with the king in this position. Many people, adults, and the younger generation have occurred to enjoy horror films despite their ages. Also, these films take people away from reality. This helps them keep up with the issues of life.
