The author says that the main focus is to improve the security systems in the airports and the airplanes. He purports that the technology in security is driven by the need to scan passengers efficiently without waste of time. The author also states that people have used technology to increase accuracy in the detection of threats before they occur. The author concludes that the new technologies employed in the airport industry not only enhances security measures in the airport but also improve the experience of passengers (Future Travel Experience, 2016).
I agree with the writers’ point of view. The aircraft industries have been at the top among the industries that manipulate technologies to increase efficiency and performance. Recently the Airports Authority have been financing various researchers in the universities and engineering giants to improve the security of the airports (Dillon & Thomas, 2014). However, I believe the author forgot to mention that the main reasons airports invest in technology. It is because the industries have been victims of a terrorist attack (Davies, 2002). The technology employed is also driven by competition in the aircraft industries.
The assumption made by the author is that the technological developments are luxury driven and less of demand driven.

The author also assumes that all airports in the world are improving their systems daily as the American airports. He implies that the development comes from the incentives of the airport and not the aircraft manufacturing industries.
The author has presented several pieces of evidence to support his point of view. He indicates the agreement between select United States airlines and the TSA to introduce new screening lines (Future Travel Experience, 2016). The detection lines would save on time taken to scrutinize passengers and improve the accuracy of detecting illegal weapons that would be used by terror groups. The author has also cited the airports that are part of the security agreement.
The author also points out the possibility of introducing a three dimension CT scanner in the airport (Future Travel Experience, 2016). The scanners would be similar to those used in Hospitals but would be primarily used to reveal weapons that may be concealed by the terrorist. The author has successfully cited some of the scanners that he refers to for example; he mentions a scanner known as Cobra, which performs the functions mentioned.
The author’s arguments are logic and sensible to a greater extent. However, he has made a little factual omission. The author has generalized airports when he talks about technology, yet the example cited are in the airports within the United States borders. If the article was on airport developments, the author should have also mentioned the airport developments in the Middle East, Australia, and African airports as well. Otherwise, the title should have been limited to the airport in the United States.
The author concludes that the security employed has increased passengers’ experience in the airports (Future Travel Experience, 2016). The conclusion is very reasonable because passengers’ experience and safety are related. The author’s ideas that the security systems aims at increasing the speed of scanning passengers and saves on time are an authentic illustration of reduced frustrations of airport clients. The cited example are security based thus the author’s conclusions are most reasonable.
