Why the New York Soda ban is a good Idea
The soda ban is an excellent idea and should be embraced by the New York people. Most nutrition experts point out that the soda contains a lot of sugar and calories, but no nutrients. The larger the size of the soda bottle, the more calories it contains. The sugar and calories contained in soda are linked to the promotion of poor health conditions such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and some heart diseases (Vartanian, 667-675).
The American Heart Association points out that people who take soda daily consume an average of 22 teaspoons of added sugar, which is approximately 355 more calories (Vartanian, 667-675). The more amount of soda one takes, the higher the chances one is likely to add more weight and increase chances of contracting diabetes and other cardiovascular infections.
Moreover, soda contains phosphoric acid that promotes the weakening of bones. The human body usually regulates the level of phosphate and calcium in the bloodstream. However, the balance is likely to be interrupted when one consumes more phosphorus than calcium, which is the likely scenario when one drinks soda (Vartanian, 667-675). When phosphorus is more than calcium in the body, the body extracts calcium from the bones to ensure the balance, thus weakening the bones.
Although one may opt to drink sugar-free soda, it is stated that sodas contain citric or phosphoric acid, which are acids that may corrode the tooth caramel (Vartanian, 667-673).

Wait! new york soda ban paper is just an example!

Nutrition experts indicate that diet cola has an equal acidity level with the regular cola, thus making it have a similar impact on the teeth (Vartanian, 667-675).
