This strategy is applicable since all the patients being attended to are from diverse cultures, of different characters, and educational background. Therefore, all these patients will need different learning styles that the nurse has to formulate. These variables prompt the nurse to use different approaches to educating patients, even where obstacles are present, to have positive outcomes.
The different viewpoints on health promotion and disease prevention can be overcome by nurses when they create an education environment that is founded on respect, reception/accommodation, and mutual confidence between the two parties. The nurses should emphasize on the delivery of education based on an individual’s strongholds that motivate them to become a committed member. This strategy should emphasize on making decisions that have a positive effect on the lifestyle and health behavioral changes. An appropriate example that best explains this is where a patient, illiterate and from the local community comes in to seek treatment. He is suffering from severe back pains that require some painkillers to relieve the pain before the root cause is established through X-ray. However, the people from this community do not believe in the use of drugs. Here, the obstacle that should be overcome includes language barriers where the physician should look for an interpreter so that they can have solid diagnosis and symptoms.

The second obstacle is the local beliefs since they forbid the use of drugs. The community should be educated on the benefits of taking drugs administered from the hospital that help the patients to cope with the pain and, in the long term, eliminate the pain.
