Two Goals
1. To investigate the performance of Hospital A in the management of cardiac, pulmonary diseases.
2. To investigate the correlation between the occurrences of three cardiopulmonary illnesses which are pneumonia, myocardial infarction, and congestive heart failure?
Possibly Written Goal for the Observed Results
Evaluate the performance of Hospital A in managing myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, and Pneumonia.
The above object could be used to achieve the results of the case study. In the case study, the hospital has all the results for the prognoses of the three conditions. However, in the manner that the results are collected, it is not possible to establish the relationship between various practices and the well being of the patient at risk of developing the other conditions. This is important because these diseases are correlated (Kelly, 2007). Patients with pneumonia are more likely to develop myocardial infarction. It is therefore essential to understand how the treatment of one will impact on the patient’s likelihood of getting the other diseases. When the performance of the hospital in managing one condition is investigated independently, it is not possible to get the relationship.
Possible Alternative Goal
Investigate the correlation between the occurrence of three cardiopulmonary diseases which are pneumonia, myocardial infarction, and congestive heart failure.
This modified goal targets the relationship between management practices of one condition with the other conditions.
Wait! Organizational Goals paper is just an example!
This will involve research on the management of the conditions in a similar group concurrently (Kelly, 2007). Though this method, the hospital can identify how each of the conditions contributed to the development of the other and therefore how treating a particular strain of the disease should be handled. This will improve the treatment of all the three conditions.
