Apparently, for every organization or workplace, the safety of the employees is paramount and should be taken with a lot of consideration as per the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. Therefore, every work has the right to take action against the company he/she works for and does not guarantee such employee safety.
A good example of a workplace in my environment in my environment is the construction industry. Apparently, it’s the most common industry that mainly deals with the unskilled labor who are mostly used for the manual jobs that require fewer skills and more physical energy. One of the significant hazards that thee workers are exposed to is the working at height challenges. In this, the workers are sometimes forced to work on very tall buildings and thus are exposed to the risk of falling if the employer does not put proper regulations and safety equipment in place. Such threats violate the ladders and scaffolding act of the OSHA standards which require that tall buildings should be constructed only after the availing of all safety equipment such as safety ladders, helmets, and closed shoes. As a way of mitigation, employers should identify the areas vulnerable to falling due to great heights and establish proper ladders together with fencing of the construction sites to prevent the falling slabs and to build stones from causing injury to others. Additionally, workers should be equipped with personal protective equipment like helmets to protect them from injury (Reese, 2015.

Among the laws in my state that advocate for the employee compensation is that works have a right and allowance to go to court in case they are not compensated in the case of an injury during work. However, compensation is only possible if they are injured while on duty otherwise, it remains their sole responsibility.
Additionally, a common environmental hazard is the debris that is left on the ground after construction. They may include the building blocks and even the metallic materials used during construction. Such trash violates the environmental activities under the OSHA regulation which requires proper disposal of the non-useful materials after construction. A right way of avoiding such risks is by disposing of the remaining materials that are useless correctly taking them to hollow places where they will not affect human beings or even animals (Reese, 2015). Companies have a plan where they compensate the affected persons in the neighboring environment for the losses that might be caused by the land that has been affected by the debris that has been dumped and is mostly non-decomposable. States have enacted the Environmental Protection Act 2008 where the responsible companies are charged in case of violation of the regulations by carelessly depositing and dumping waste and other debris.
