Some of the practices to promote safety and improve quality health care include providing treatment and care with basis of scientific support. Nurses should avoid using improper knowledge during treatment to avoid harming the patient more. Patient-centered care should be provided where preferences and values of the patient are followed. Healthcare services should be prevented more harm to the patient (MedlinePlus, 2018). This involves immediate service to a patient once received. Equitable healthcare should be provided regardless of varying patient’s social economic status among other variations. To make the right decision, nurses should one; evaluate the various options available through meditation and sharing with the patient. Second, advantages and risk factors of each listed treatment option should be identified. Finally, the best option is arrived at based on the preference of the patient. To help in making a proper decision, nurses can use summarized evidences, fact lists and question prompt list.
Delegation helps the Nurse to have more time to spend on complex tasks. When Nurses delegate some of their duties, they become free without many occupations in their mind. With this, they can focus on solutions to more complex health issues hence able to offer quality health (Ketchum, 2018). The delegation also aids in creating skills to that delegate which may be of help later. Sometimes the number of patients may increase, and hence the skills gained through delegation become useful.

Though delegation teaches new skills, the Nurse delegating should ascertain that the task delegated will be done as required with much safety. With this, the nurse should avoid delegating complex tasks to unskilled people. Though the nurse may want to be free, the condition of the patient should guide on whether to delegate or not. The delegation should be done only on stable patients to ensure safety.
